Treat Yourself: Teacher Discounts for Life Outside the Classroom

There are a lot of teacher discounts out there to help you make purchases for your classroom, but that's not what this blog post is about. No, you won't find any discounts on pencil sharpeners or dry-erase pockets here. This post is all about you — not your classroom, not your students, just you.
From comfy shoes to binge-worthy shows, here are three year-round teacher discounts for you!
Peacock Premium Subscription I'm starting off strong with an entertainment subscription, because at the end of the day, don't you just want to sit down with a bowl of popcorn and enjoy a good show? I know I do!

At $7.99/month, Peacock Premium isn't very expensive compared to other streaming services. However, as a teacher, you can get a Peacock Premium subscription for the next 12 months for only $3.99/month.
If you already have a subscription using your personal email address and pay monthly, just cancel it and use your school email to take advantage of the teacher discount using this link. It's an easy way to save $48 per year on a new subscription or a subscription you already have!
Stanley Cups
I'm going to be totally honest here, I've never owned a Stanley cup. (Please, mentally insert gasps of surprise from preteen students everywhere here.) They are super cute. I know both teachers and students love them, but I've just never bought one. Despite having never bought one, I do know that you can get a 30% discount on Stanley cups - click here to get the discount.

If you haven't already signed up for an ID.me account, you'll have to sign up for one to get the discount. The website says the time it takes to get verified varies, but my account verification only took about five minutes.
Sketchers
"Comfortable teacher shoes" is a popular search on TikTok and Pinterest, but you deserve to have comfy shoes you love year-round, not just work shoes!
Personally, I love Sketchers! The lightweight, slip-on, arch-support features are a lifesaver for someone with giant arches like mine (ouch), and teachers can get 20% off regularly priced Sketchers. Here's the link. (You also need ID.me verification for this deal.) There's always a chance you'll get a better deal on Sketchers at a back-to-school sale or sale at your local shoe store, but it's great to know that this discount is available year-round, just like the Peacock subscription and Stanley discount.

Bonus Savings Opportunity There are lots of savings out there for your personal use as a teacher in addition to classroom savings, and here's a bonus savings opportunity that is technically for your classroom but benefits you because of how easy it is to use and the time it will save you during the school year. Canva Pro subscriptions are $15/month, but Canva for Education accounts are free.
There are many resources and templates included, and you can also find great teacher-created Canva resources and templates on Teachers Pay Teachers. If you haven't already hopped on the Canva bandwagon, now is a great time to try it out.
