It's back-to-school time, and for teachers who feel like less is more in the classroom, the back-to-school season can feel a little overwhelming (for reasons other than the obvious). Store shelves are full of bright, colorful classroom knickknacks, floor pillows, and decor galore! School supplies suddenly come in a gazillion-pack, and you can't turn around without walking into a pastel or composition book-themed poster. (The composition notebook theme is big this year!) I list these specific items not to make fun or criticize - all of it is SUPER cute, and sometimes you really do need the gazzillion-pack - but some teachers, like me, want to create an amazing space and experience for our students ... but just ... a little simpler. This is often more true for secondary teachers. So, low-key, like-minded teachers, here are two simple back-to-school resources I think you'll like! Resource #1 - My blog post 4 Things I Would Buy Again for My Cozy Classroom. You don't need much to make a room cozy as long as you put thought into what really matters to you and your students! Resource #2 - These clean, versatile, and editable Meet The Teacher Letters for Meet The Teacher Night, because if your vibe is "I like to keep things calm and simple," these are going to be your jam. Click the photos to check them out and view previews.

No matter what your teacher style/vibe is, I hope your back-to-school prep goes smoothly, your admin designates time for you on your inservice days to work on your room, and your coffee is brewed to perfection.
Until next time!
Lauren
